Music Monday(Tuesday)__Miley Cyrus Wreking Ball
(Original)
(Director's Cut)
So I know that I haven't posted much lately and that I am late for the music monday this week but I thought I would talk about Miley Cyrus's music video for Wreaking Ball. The Directors cut was released today and I will have to say that I love it a lot more than the original. The reason is that I feel more of a connection to what Miley was trying to portray through the song. Don't get me wrong, the original has some interesting aspects to it, but I think that she tried to be too sexy for the type of song that it is. Something that is just simple and raw has more of an impact than showing our body naked on an actual wreaking ball.

PARIS DAY 1-3
I have been Mia for a while and I am sorry for that. However I thought I would do an update about is happening in my life. At the moment I am in Paris, France. I am on vacation right now, but I am staying here for a semester abroad. I am loving it here so far. The transportation is great, food is great (but expensive), and there is a bunch of street art everywhere. I haven't been able to do much shopping yet except for buying toiletries. It is great that I able to try out some new brands such as Nuxe and Vichy. I will a review on the products I got later on when I have a good opinion on them.
One of the goals I have for this joinery in France is to grasp the French language a lot more. I have used it a little bit so far, however not to a great extent since after a while whomever I am talking to will realize English is my first language. I think once my family leaves and I am not in so many touristy areas, I will be able to use french more.
I thought I would post some photos of my trip so far.

Hair Series__The Final Look [PART THREE]
So I got my hair cut last friday at my hair dressers. I was at first going to go to Super Cuts, to save a few bucks, but then I talked to my mom and she said that I should just get a really good hair cut that would last a while, rather than a mediocre one. In addition, I got my roots relaxed. And then my hair dresser colored my hair as well.
Before Photos:
Before Photos:
I thought I should include these, even though I know my hair does not look great. But I think by showing before and after photos, you can really then see the progression. In these photos, my hair is just blow dried, not straightened, which is why my hair seems a bit shorter than it is because my roots are about 4 months post relaxer.
I was going to get my highlights done at another time. However, seeing my hair now, I like the way it looks and I think I should give my hair a couple of months of rest from chemicals. So this is going to be the end of my hair series. I am loving the color. It is less of a pink and more of a cranberry/ fushia.

Hair Series__The Products I Use [PART TWO]
So I thought I would share with you the products I have been using in the past couple of months. Some of the products I use I know I will keep using for a while, however, the shampoo and conditioner that I am using at the moment, I think I will be switching soon.
Moisturizer__ Kera Care Conditioning creme hairdress
Oil__Essence Desert 100% Jojoba Oil
Comb__ Conair
For my everyday hair products, I use the moisturizer and oil in the morning and at night. This combination has made my hair shinier, softer, and feeling healthier. I use the tiniest amounts of each product about a grape size/dime size of each product. I start with the moisturizer and then seal that in with the oil. I then use a comb to get out any knots in my hair. I a comb that is a little bit finer than a wide tooth comb, but isn't too fine that it would rip all my hair out.
Hair Wash Day Products:
Cleansing Conditioner__Wen SixThirteen
For my hair washing days, which is once a week, I start by slathering my hair in coconut oil. Depending on the day and how much time I have, I will either leave the coconut oil in for just an hour minimum or for almost all day if I am staying at home. The reason for the coconut oil is because the molecule of the coconut is fine enough to be absorbed by the shaft of the hair. This gives the hair a lot of hydration and protein, making the hair softer and stronger. I have just recently started using Wen as my Cleansing Conditioner. This is taking the place of my shampoo and conditioner. The reason I decided to start using this rather than regular shampoo and conditioner is because I do have damaged hair due to all the chemicals and process I put it through. I want a cleanser that will get my hair clean, but take care of my care at the same time. Using a normal shampoo that has Sulfate, strips your hair of all its natural oils leaving your hair fragile and brittle. This then leads to breakage. I am tired of having more breakage then necessary, and since I am not giving up the relaxer, highlights, and straightening my hair yet, I am going to try to help it out when I clean it.
Heat Protectant/Moisturizer__ [same as daily moisturizer]
Blow Dryer__Lilique 8000
Flat Fahrenheit-heat wave
Wide Tooth Comb__N/A
Brush__N/A
After I wash my hair, will but some of my moisturizer in my hair, which happens to also be my heat protector. I will then comb my hair with a wide tooth comb and let my hair air dry till its about 70-80% dry. I will then use my brush and blowdryer and focus more on my roots to get my hair straight and dry. I focus more on the blow dryer so that I don't have to use as much of the flat iron. The settings on my blow dryer is maximum air, but on the low setting of heat. I then will add some more moisturizer to my hair. Depending on if I want to add more heat to my hair or not, I will flat iron it after at the heat of 400 degrees F. Make a note of this, I only use a flat iron once a week at most. I don't use it any other time, no matter what my hair is feeling that day. I make it work. This is another step I am making to not have unnecessary heat touch my hair.

REVIEW__Wen SixThirteen
I have only used this a couple of times, but I will have to say...I LOVE IT!! I have no idea why I didn't use Wen products in the past. Well, I kinda know why, its expensive. However, after trying it out, I will have to say that it is worth the price. I didn't by the regular Wen Products, but their Daily Conditioning Cleanser SixThirteen. It isn't promoted as often, but a YouTuber that I follow Claire Marshall recommended this product in her June Favorites and I thought I would try it out.
I had been thinking about getting a Wen Cleansing Conditioner for a while now, but didn't really know which one to get. The reason I ended up choosing the SixThirteen is because it was targeting Dry Damaged hair, which is what I have. My hair is not as dry as it use to be, but it is still damaged due to the Relaxer, Highlighting, and Heat.
Now if you don't really know anything about the Wen Product line. It is created by Chaz Dean and Hollywood Hair stylist, who wanted to create a line of Cleansing Conditioners that don't have Sulfates or any really harsh chemicals.
So yes this is a sulfate free hair cleanser. Now if you have been wondering why I have not been using the word "Shampoo" its because this product is not a Shampoo. It cleans your hair, but at the same time it conditions your hair as well, taking the place of a shampoo an conditioner as well as a leave-in conditioner. My mother loves the regular Cleansing Conditioner. She wears her naturally curly and uses everyday as leave-in conditioner to help reactivate her hair everyday until she washes it agin.
What I had noticed as the product was in my hair, was that my hair already felt like it was being conditioned very well. After I had rinsed it out, I could tell that it cleaned my hair well, but left my hair soft. It was even acting different when I blowed dried it. It still felt soft and conditioned after. Usually my hair will feel slightly dry, but that wasn't the case this time.
I can't wait to keep using this product and see what it does for my hair in the long-run. I will try to keep you updated on how I feel about Wen in a month or two.

MELROSE FLEA MARKET HAUL
I went to the Melrose Flea Market with my Sister and Mom on Sunday and I got a few things. I got a dual faced watch pendant which will be perfect when I go to Paris in August so that I can know what time it is there and in Los Angeles. The next thing I got was a conductor whistle. This is going to be my version of a rape whistle, however it is also just great piece of jewelry.

Music Monday__James Blake
So I have listened to James Blake not knowing who he was on Spotify radio. His voice is so melodic that I could listen to him on repeat for hours and just be in a good tranquil state. I hope you enjoy him as much as I do. The two songs I chose are "Retrograde" which is on his newest album and "CMYK" which is some of his older work.

PORTRAITS
My Sister and I the other day decided to do a mini photo shoot in Black and White. We wanted to keep them portraits so that they were a bit more intimate.
