Brooklyn Baby!!!

(Sorry for the bad quality in this photo, I was discreetly taking her picture)

I went to Brooklyn with my friends over the weekend. It was totally amazing! I really want to live in Williamsburg which is a part of Brooklyn filled with hipster people walking their kids with no care of danger, cause there isn't a gleam of danger in this neighborhood. The bars and restaurants that are in this exquisite hub of a neighborhood have this relaxing modern sense to them. They are filled with people who want to hang with friends and drink a little, not people who want to get drunk (there may be a few of those though). Another thing I like about this part of town is the fashion. There is this laid back style that looks like there was no effort put into what these people wear, however you know there was. The people also were very friendly.
So what my friends and I did when we were there was first hit up some small boutique stores that were also filled with vintage items. Can I just tell you that these stores were filled the best array of clothes. The clothes didn't feel too old cause they still were in check with the modern trends but were portrayed in a different way. Also, these clothes were not something you would see in H&M or Forever21, which was nice. I really can't stand those stores anymore, not enough variety. Anyways, I ended up finding a pair of slacks that I have been lusting for who knows how long. I also got a grandpa sweater, which means I am now going to start a sweater collection, can't wait!!! Lastly I also got a blue sequined shirt at a thrift store in Greenwich Village, which is in Manhattan, but I thought I should tell you about that finding as well.
Later on in our adventure, we stopped at this amazing thai restaurant that the best food I have had in a while. Poughkeepsie does not know what good food is, which is really sad to my stomach. Later we took the subway into Grand central to head back to campus, I will have to say that there was a woman on the train, which I wish I got a picture of, but had a pair of Jeffery Campbell Litas on which now makes me for certain wan to get a pair.
In regards to trends that are happening in this amazing part of Brooklyn are army green rain jackets, single geared bikes, flowy long skirts and dress, oxfords, along with dessert shoe heels. Lastly, I saw a mix of patterns and leggings.

I know that I usually don't do post like this, however, I want to try to make my blog more professional. Is this something you want to see more of? I wont' be going down to NYC that much, however I can do trend spottings or how to create trends seen on streets and runway.
