She was having a lecture in the morning that I was lucky enough to go to. She is very inspirational. Pretty much what I got out of the whole lecture is that you should follow your dreams/goals, worry only about your own happiness, and that you should never settle for something less that what you believe you deserve.

Change is always good

So last year I had talked about piercings and tattoos that I would like in my life. I did get my nose and navel pierced last year in september, but at this point, I have taken out the navel piercing due to migration. I am also not that sad that I had to take it out, it was always a pain and would always be in the way. There are actually a few piercings that I am not as excited to get anymore. I don't really want my tongue pierced or 2nd lobe piercings. I do still want all of the piercings, and maybe even more, but I have don't have the money right now for any new ones. I think that if you want piercings and tattoos and would like to show them off for as long as possible, I think you should consider the career that you want in life. It won't matter so much if the placement of your tattoos are easily covered by clothing, but you wouldn't want to be able to get your dream career/job just because of a one little thing.

So a trend that I have really been liking is collared shirts and necklaces. Now, I know that collars have always been on button down shirts, but the way I wear these shirts are not differently. Buttoning up the collars can give you that nerdy chic look that could be just what you are looking for. And even if the shirt you are wearing doesn't have a collar on it, you can get a collar necklace, which I will be selling online soon, or even metal necklaces that emulate a collar. You can even at a statement or simple piece of jewelry to add an extra pop.

I thought I would make this blog more interactive by featuring my followers wearing outfits in a certain category that I choose. All you would have to do if you would like to be involved is send a picture of yourself wearing the key piece that maybe on how you would wear a certain garment, or how you wear a certain style/trend, and sometimes I may even just feature a person in their favorite garments.
