Christmas Gift Ideas

(Turbans and ear warmers are very in this season)
(You don't have to reach for OPI for gifts, try a new brand, but don't go too cheap)
(lipgloss sets are always fun, makes you feel like you received more than one gift)
(leggings are always fun, especially with these quirky patterns)
(for someone who loves color, a set of eyeliners would allow them to express themselves)

With Thanksgiving on thursday, the Christmas season will soon begin, starting with black friday. A day where you can start getting Christmas gifts for your friends and loved ones. However, every season we get to this time of the year and are sometimes stumped on what to get as gifts. So, I decided to create a mini series for the Christmas holiday. I will not only be talking about ideas for gifts and sharing my Christmas list, but also how to get into the spirit and dress festive without pulling out the reindeer sweaters.
So for today, I will be talking about gifts for friends. Now, it really depends on what type of person you are and where you live. If you are very crafty, you can always make gifts, which makes the present even more special. If that is not your nitch, a well thought out gift is always a nice touch. We must first think about the type of person you are trying to shop for. Is it first a female or a male, just because I am coming from a female's perspective, I will be only talking about gifts to your girl friends. Also, we need to determine what type of girl she is and what are her hobbies. Is the girl into Fashion? Art? Sports? Books? Music? What ever it may be, you should get her something that relates to this.
Now for a girl who is into fashion, it would probably be nice to get her something relating to clothes or even books that are about fashion. However, you must keep in mind of the girls fashion style. Is she into vintage finds or would you find her wearing clothes mostly from Forever21. Once you have assessed this, you are closer on the way to finding the perfect gift. If we come back to the crafty girl, knitting and crochet happens to be a great gift option. However, I wouldnt' start it up right now if you don't know how to knit, because as much as it is nice to have a friend knit a scarf for you, it isn't that nice if you end up never wearing it. But if knitting or crocheting has been a hobby of yours for a while now, jump on the train. This year, I am knitting my friends infinity scarfs and beanies. I am trying to keep in mind with the trends for hats and scarfs this season. So with scarves, I would create something chunky ( buying one, for the non-knitters, is also good idea). Beanies are something that seems to be great for this season, especially with the weather getting cooler. Another thing that is fun to get, is to shop in unusual stores, especially for the vintage find girl. Go to thrift stores or stores like Urban Outfitters which has this different feel of clothing. Must warn you though, going to a thrift store will require a lot more work, since you may not be able to find the perfect size or find for your friend, so patience is required. However, to get a one-of-a-kind gift is always nice. Another great thing to do get as gifts are jewelry, who doesn't need more rings and earrings? Find quirky pieces so you don't end up buying something she may already have or might also get from someone else. Lastly, there is make-up, something that you usually can't go wrong with. Buying or creating make-up sets are a great idea, it allows for a girl to possibly try a new brand or shades that she may not have bought on her own. I would however keep in mind her own make-up regiem. Does she put a lot of make-up on? or a little? Does she wear bold colors? or keep it natural? A few brands that I recommend for make-up gift sets are M.A.C cosmetics, if you are willing to spend more, or try e.l.f cosmetics, which you can find in target.
I hope these were a few helpful tips for someone who just doesn't know what to get their friend for the holiday season.
