Hair Series__The Products I Use [PART TWO]

So I thought I would share with you the products I have been using in the past couple of months.  Some of the products I use I know I will keep using for a while, however, the shampoo and conditioner that I am using at the moment, I think I will be switching soon.

Everyday Hair Products:

Moisturizer__ Kera Care Conditioning creme hairdress
Oil__Essence Desert 100% Jojoba Oil
Comb__ Conair

For my everyday hair products, I use the moisturizer and oil in the morning and at night. This combination has made my hair shinier, softer, and feeling healthier. I use the tiniest amounts of each product about a grape size/dime size of each product. I start with the moisturizer and then seal that in with the oil. I then use a comb to get out any knots in my hair. I a comb that is a little bit finer than a wide tooth comb, but isn't too fine that it would rip all my hair out.

Hair Wash Day Products:

Pre-Conditioner__100% Coconut Oil
Cleansing Conditioner__Wen SixThirteen

For my hair washing days, which is once a week, I start by slathering my hair in coconut oil. Depending on the day and how much time I have, I will either leave the coconut oil in for just an hour minimum or for almost all day if I am staying at home. The reason for the coconut oil is because the molecule of the coconut is  fine enough to be absorbed by the shaft of the hair. This gives the hair a lot of hydration and protein, making the hair softer and stronger. I have just recently started using Wen as my Cleansing Conditioner. This is taking the place of my shampoo and conditioner. The reason I decided to start using this rather than regular shampoo and conditioner is because I do have damaged hair due to all the chemicals and process I put it through. I want a cleanser that will get my hair clean, but take care of my care at the same time. Using a normal shampoo that has Sulfate, strips your hair of all its natural oils leaving your hair fragile and brittle. This then leads to breakage. I am tired of having more breakage then necessary, and since I am not giving up the relaxer, highlights, and straightening my hair yet, I am going to try to help it out when I clean it.

Styling Products
Heat Protectant/Moisturizer__ [same as daily moisturizer]
Blow Dryer__Lilique 8000
Flat Fahrenheit-heat wave
Wide Tooth Comb__N/A
Brush__N/A

After I wash my hair, will but some of my moisturizer in my hair, which happens to also be my heat protector. I will then comb my hair with a wide tooth comb and let my hair air dry till its about 70-80% dry. I will then use my brush and blowdryer and focus more on my roots to get my hair straight and dry. I focus more on the blow dryer so that I don't have to use as much of the flat iron. The settings on my blow dryer is maximum air, but on the low setting of heat. I then will add some more moisturizer to my hair. Depending on if I want to add more heat to my hair or not, I will flat iron it after at the heat of 400 degrees F. Make a note of this, I only use a flat iron once a week at most. I don't use it any other time, no matter what my hair is feeling that day. I make it work. This is another step I am making to not have unnecessary heat touch my hair.
